Only a person who risks is free

Today I want to talk to you about the importance of taking risks for those who want to grow and truly become themselves. I know that it can often be scary to step out of your comfort zone and face change, but without risk there would be no growth.

Risk does not necessarily mean making reckless decisions or jeopardizing your safety. Instead, it’s about being aware of opportunities that can lead to new experiences and achieving your goals. It could mean accepting a new job that requires learning different skills, launching a new entrepreneurial project, or putting your opinions on the line to achieve an important goal.

It’s understandable that risk can be scary, but it’s important to remember that even great successes are often accompanied by great risks. Think of any successful person, whether it’s an entrepreneur, artist, or athlete, and you’ll see that they all had to face challenges and take risks to achieve their goals.

As a coach, I encourage you not to be afraid to take risks and seek out new opportunities that will help you grow and become the best version of yourself. Learn to make calculated decisions, but don’t let fear prevent you from trying new things. Always remember that every failure can be an opportunity to learn and improve.

Finally, I want to remind you that you are never alone.

Find a community of people who share your goals and support you, seek the support of friends and family, or work with a coach or mentor who can help you navigate the challenges you encounter along the way.

In summary, risk is fundamental to personal and professional growth.

Don’t let fear prevent you from achieving your goals and becoming the best version of yourself.

Make calculated decisions, seek support from those around you, and remember that every failure can be an opportunity to learn. Be brave and move towards your future with confidence and determination.

The Tao of Fully Feeling: Harvesting Forgiveness out of Blame by Pete Walker

To laugh is – to risk appearing the fool.
To weep is – to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach out for another is – to risk involvement.
To expose feelings is – to risk exposing your true self.
To place your ideas, your dreams before the crowd is – to risk their loss.
To love is – to risk not being loved in return.
To live is – to risk dying. To hope is – to risk despair.
To try is – to risk failure.

But risks must be taken, because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing. The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing and is nothing. He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn, feel, grow, love – live. Chained by his certitudes, he is a slave, he has forfeited freedom.
